Info of me for Grade 7 teachers

1. What piece of work and learning are you most proud? Explain.

I think I'm proud of most of the writing assesments that I've been doing. I used to be abizmall at writing. However, now I'm a lot more comfortable with writing.

2. What were your greatest challenges? Explain.

There were a lot of challenges especially at the start of the year. Since there were quite a lot of changes from 5th grade and 6th. I had a hard time getting organized for a while. I lacked in participation at the start of the year, and still lack in participation. For example, I won't put my hand up even though I know the answer.

3. Reflecting on your growth this year, what did you learn about yourself as a learner?

I found that I could cross the line once and a while, but I can't notice a growth as a learner in terms of work habits.

4. To evaluate your work habits, choose 1 of the following from each category (and provide explanations):

a) Behavior

Satisfactory

Usually, I can behave properly, but as I said, I can cross the line sometimes

b) Participation

None
Satisfactory

Its sort of between None and Satisfactory (a little closer to None). Since I participate sometimes, I can't say that my participation is Satisfactory but it certainly isn't None either.

c) Organization

I'm super organized

I have had trouble with getting organized at the start of the year, but now I'm much better.

d) Effort

Satisfactory

I do put some effort into my work, but I've never seem to bother going above and beyond.

5. Based upon your reflections, write two personal learning goals for Grade 7 next year.

Goal 1 - In Grade 7, I plan to

Participate as much as I can in class

Goal 2 - In Grade 7, I plan to

Put more effort in my work

6.Is there any more information about yourself that you would like the teachers to know?

Not really

Utopia / Save the Earth

If I'd want to save the air and keep myself from breathing through an inahaler, I would start from saving trees. I can help save trees by recycling paper and wooden objects. For example, if you recycle 1500 milk carts, you can save a 25 year old tree. If the whole world recycles a milk cart everyday for a month we can save 12,000,000 trees. You can help by saving energy too, to get the electricity going, a power plant would have to burn gasoline and coal which ruins the air. 63% of the water that pollutes other water comes from house holds. Meaning most of the water pollution comes from us, if we can care a bit more we could save enormous amounts of money and water. I think we have done enough talking, the things is that we have to take our plans in to action. I wish we could all help out in saving the Earth.

Malaysia Week Experiance

Most people was all excited about Malaysia Week, and could not wait until they got on the bus to leave KL. I in the other hand was in despair because I didn't want to go on the long hard and uncomfortable trip away from modern technology. Truthfully I was happy to return to KL, and all I have to get rid of was the bad memories. First day I was looking around enviously at my friends with other friends, most people were going with other friends, I in the other hand was the only 6 grader boy in the group. I had nothing to do in the 6 hour bus ride but to sleep. The first day was wasted traveling to Tioman Island (no complains there). The second day we hiked all the way across the whole island and I had to sleep in a tent with a hole on the roof (and guess what, it rained).

My Daily Life in KL for Mrs. Adelman's Class

Hi I'm Aaron of I.S.K.L (International School of Kuala Lumper) typing to Mrs. Adelman's class. Hears a bird's eye view of my daily life in KL. I wake up in 6:30am to get ready for school and take a 40min bus rid to school. After school we go home where for me, they are making buildings all round, so when I open the balcony the sound of drilling would wake the morning air. Inside KL it seems like a modern city but when you leave the city it is like a different world there would be monkeys and cows on the road streets. And trees, jungle would cover the the view while you drive.

New Year Resolution

It is 2009 and a lot of people are thinking of goals which they should accomplish during the year.
My New Years Resolutions are. . .

  1. Earn lots of money
  2. Get fit
  3. Be more nice to my sister
  4. Get good grades

I wish that these Resolutions all turn out to be accomplished. Some how I seem to be asking quite a lot. I also hope that this year will turn out better than the last(all over the world).

The Bridge Between 5 months

Already 5 months has passed since I came to middle school. I chose 16 words which best describes my first 5 months in middle school. I chose these words because they are the words that best describe my first 5months in middle school. There was much changes in middle school, I have no idea where to start! 'Locker' describes my struggling with opening my locker 5months ago I opened my locker with the instructions next to me trying again and again and again but now it's scripe, scripe, scripe click! done! I couldn't have ever imagined how easily I open my locker now, it is a good thing to know that I don't have to stress out every time I open my locker. 'Homework' and 'Grades' best describe my nervousness when I handed in my graded works and when the teacher would hand it back a few days later. I remember the shock when I saw the ENORMOUS C- on my homework, I think that nightmare was haunting me for a few weeks. 'Technology' is here because now I always use the computer and learn about them everyday, when I go to Humanities, and IT. I remember learning about Excel and Brochures. I think these words will make me realize all the change during these 5 months.

S.P.C.A. Response

We were shown a power point presentation about the S.P.C.A. and what they do. The S.P.C.A. stands for The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. After listening about 10min I honestly felt sleepy, however the presentation gave a set of images which, gave a sharp slap at my face. An image of a dog's nose chopped off by children with stones. The image of the dog's legs being hacked off was disgusting. I think it will be shocking to anyone to think that human think it appropriate to do such things. And even the animals in the S.P.C.A. 20% is adopted and the rest is killed by injection. I think that we need to care and pay attention more.
